Spider Tuning box for sale (6cyl)

Time to sell the E90 325d and taken the Spider box off. Its been on the car since Jan 2014 so not yet 12 months old.

Spider Box

It seriously is an impressive bit of kit for a plug in system.
If needed it can be sent back to Spider for programming for a different vehicle, I did this with my previous box before it gave up the ghost.
Should work for a 320 as well if reprogrammed.

SOLD

il give them a call tommorow and find out!

how's easy is the installation? does it plug into the ecu and what kind of difference did it make on a 325d?

If your able to comment how would it compare to a remap does it come close and are the figures they quite seem reasonable form your experience?

Installation is really easy if you have a 7mm allen key to take the plastic engine cover off. The unit has a long cable and intercepts the fuel rail to override the ECU for fuel delivery.

In comparison to a chip its not as good but it made my 325d keep up with 330d's. So I effectively wen from 197 to 240ish. I don't think it would ever get to the 265 claimed.

You can definitely feel and see the difference.

It improved economy for me... I do a lot of motorway miles and went from 42 to 47mpg at a "good" pace.

It isn't the latest version. Its in the carbon box but has two pots to adjust for the different settings. The latest one has 4 modes and doesn't give the ability to change the aggressiveness of the program.

No it all went a bit quiet. I will contact spider and ask them if they will reprogram it for me as I have changed my car and see what they come back with.

Good news, just spoken to spider and for anyone with a 320, 325, 330 E9x Diesel the box doesn't need to be reprogrammed will just plug and play. The software identifies the engine and adapts automatically.

So any takers ???

Is it the 'standard' Spider Tuningbox like this one :

http://www.dieseltuning.co.uk/tuningbox.html

They do several models like the Spider Performance Pack.

It is the performance one.

This is from the description invoice:

BMW 325D 197PS 145KW 400NM Spider Performance Syste 1 £450.00 £450.00

They have changed the performance system to now have 2 buttons to select the level. My version has 2 dials to select/tune the profile.

No, its just diesel. You don't really get any gains with petrol unless its turbo'd.
