Transferring Painted Reflector

I am going from the standard E92 bumper to the msport front bumper. I currently have the painted reflectors on my standard bumper, and would like to transfer them to the new bumper.

I want the reflector to sit as flush to the bumper as possible, so I'm wondering if anyone might have some decent ideas as to how to best make this transfer.

I have considered taking the old ones out using the hair dryer, keeping the old adhesive as the spacer to ensure the proper depth of the reflector, and using something like betalink to hold the reflector in place.

I do not believe this is the most perfect solution, but ideas and suggestions welcomed!

The old adhesive will not be intact once you get them off. Just get some new 3m tape (thin stuff) since that's whats on there now. Do a test fit before takibg the red covering off the tape.

double face carpet tape (no foam) if the 3M stuff is to thick.

Not a bad idea. I think the 3M tape is too thick. I used that stuff for my Aero lip, and I think it might be too much.

Is it possible just to get the adhesive, or does it come with the new reflector?

There's different level of thickness of double sided tape you can buy. You can find them online.

What if I were to use something like gorilla glue (not the wood glue) on both sides of the old adhesive?

I'm trying to figure this out too. I can't find any 3M tapes that are thin, they all seem to be foam tapes.
