Hi guys need some help
I'm upgrading my (cic) mulf 2 high with phone prep, aux in and Bluetooth to combox hopefully with streaming audio and apps( connected drive I think it's called)
I bought a plug online and changed it to match the attached pin outs on the combox

Now I need to code ... I found a PDF explaining what I need to do and somewhere along the way I get lost..
The procedure basically
I added the following the*Vehicle Order within NCSEXPERT and FA_WRITE them to both the CAS and the NFRM modules:
Need to research this bit .. "Delete $633 $612 $616 add VO $605 $612 $614 $644 $6vc $6fl $6nr $6al $6nf$7sp"
I also changed the vehicle production date to 0311.
Next, you need to*SG_CODEREN a blank .man file WHAT DOES THIS MEAN ? to both the CAS, CIC, MEDIA (if fitting a combox) and the NFRM modules (FRM if you*don?t have NFRM).I HAVE BOTH IT SEEMS ?

Read the .TRC files for the CIC (CODERDATEN_LESEN in German) and change the following options:
1. All the lines that start*PIM_~ change to aktiv ? this will enable your office*functions.
2. SL11_BMW_ONLINE
3. change to: aktiv
4. SL12_BMW_INTERNET
5. change to: aktiv
6. ONLINE_SERVICES
7. change to: aktiv
8. ONLINE_BROWSER_C0D
9. change to:*beide_aktiv

If you are using a telematics combox (like me) then you will need to code out the telematics functions.
CODERDATEN_LESEN the MEDIA module and change*the following:
1. MAIN_BOARD_ALONE
2. ecallboard_present*change to: mainboard_alone
3 TELEMATIK_VIN?most vin*change to:*coding_vinCombox retrofit tips, question about fsc

I keep trying and I think I have managed to change VO on CAS module. Now when I try to update CIC it comes up with COAPI 1063 error...

bluetooth streaming and phone calls are working great but it seems like I'm still missing something...
USB doesn't power and although the menu has the correct items in it it doesn't connect to the net, it doesn't tether to my phone...

I reinstalled the MULF2 and USB works so its not a wiring issue.
The menu has all of the options but i can't connect ... So frustrating!

What might we be missing ?

Hi, thanks for sharing - just wondering if you ever figured out your USB issue? my car is very similar to yours
(mulf 2 high with phone prep, aux in and Bluetooth to combox) only difference I have a PDC Module. - I was going to go off your pin outs.

Hi Mate, well i sort of did. I got a second combox and never looked back.

I have PDC also the pinouts aren't related as i remember. Let me know if you need help(I'm happy to) My memory is sketchy.

The phone cradle wire needs to be earthed near the combox so that it powers up.

I thought you would have...
I was looking at this reference, on another website (Regarding MULF only)


It states Pin 5 and 6 connects to PDC???

You already have what you need to have. Do you have its sockets and wiring harness?

All wires are in them place,but my microphone don’t work,no one hear me,i put black & blue wire on 26,is this the problem?

Aus335iguy, my car is almost the same as you: E90 325i with mulf2 high and cic, I want to know if I need to connect mulf2 pin 17 to combox both pin 1 and 2. Some web pages suggest only connect mulf2 17 pin to combox pin 1 to get power. Thanks a lot.
