Installed Competition seats from a 2016 M3 and it was a simple swap. Used my old seat ECU and belt fastener from the M-sport seats and that was all. No coding, nothing. Made a small mistake and the airbag light came on but could reset it with Bimmerlink. The seats are so much better, it's incredible.

More cool stuff has arrived and I finally found the matching extended merino leather door cards to my seats. Stitching is grey white instead of pure white. Also found the matching merino leather middle arm wrest and cup holder/leg bolster. Rear door cards with sun blinds are still in pieces for deep cleaning and an rear electric sunshade is on its way. Only need to find a dashboard but pretty much every used one has a blown airbag.
Have cleaned the parts with "colourlock leather cleaner strong" cleaner and they came out like new with factory matt finish. Couldn't be happier. Last edited by alexonahurry; 09-28-2022 at 05:56 PM.. |

Small update from today. Installed the rear sunshade and I'm again a step closer to full optioned. It's only static at the moment but I have an appointment at local indy shop for coding on the weekend. I'm still looking for a dashboard but good ones in the right color and with right stitching and HUD are rare. The HK sound system is on my list next and I have started to collect plastic parts, cables, speakers, etc.
...... new painted rear spoiler and carbon exhaust tips. Last edited by alexonahurry; 10-06-2022 at 01:27 AM.. |

M-Performance side decals are gone and I ve replaced the Exhaust tips with Carbon ones. Added the black 330i badge again as I think it belongs on the car. I'm trying to find the right balance when adding OEM parts and the older I get the less I like M Performance/M badges but that's just me. The seat M badge is kind of OK as it doesn't say M3, just M and it almost looks like the factory fender M Sport badges (removed on my car)

My new installed M-Performance V1 Alcantara steering wheel with carbon fibre trim. "Made in Germany". It feels so much better than the F80 Nappa leather steering wheel that I have updated just a few months ago and it's a different Galaxy in comparison to the n normal M-Sport one.

WOW! Amazing build. Keep up the good work. I know its expensive and a pain to do but a full leather dash would take this to a whole new level.
