Black or Chrome Grill

I'm trying to decide if I want to get a black grill or not. I detest chrome but I'm not sure Sonora can pull of a blacked out look without become cheap looking. Any suggestions. I attached a quick 'shop of what I would look like.

I usually black out grills on all older vehicles. Newer I leave chrome.

black but only because it removes attention from the ugly mid 2000 grills...

I would also recommend blacking out the splitters (or finishing rods, as BMW calls them) to match your grill.

You could either remove and wrap them, or just plasti dip them. Here's how mine looks, plasti dipped:

Black it out...unless you want to look like every soccer mom that has a BMW because she is cool. BMWs are all over where I live...the only ones that ever get my attention have the grilles blacked out.

The rest are business men or women that drive it for status and in a blindfolded drive test not tell the difference between a Buick and a BMW. Of course, the probably couldn't drive well if blindfolded.

There are probably no more than 5 E90s in the general area that I live so my car already stands out. Thanks for for the replies. I already thought if I was getting a black grill it would be gloss black. But they are harder to find.

+1 for gloss black grilles. They look really classy while added a more aggressive touch

On a car that color, surprisingly, I would stay with chrome.

If you do decide to go with black, you had better make those lower grilles black as well

That's actually not bad- the matte complements the beautiful body color pretty well.

Thanks, Not many people think Sonora is a beautiful color. I personally think it looks great. It definitely looks better irl than in a photo.
