Service pricing at dealers
Following on from a previous post about an intermediate oil change, what sort of prices are people paying for servicing at the dealers?
I'm new to BMW after just buying a 2015 320d M Sport & am interested in service costs for: - first service - second service (I'm guessing this is more like a 'major' service) - brake fluid change - intermediate oil change at the dealers I'm not sure that a service pack will benefit me as I reckon I'll only get one brake fluid change & the first two services covered before 5 years / 50k miles. However as this car is likely to be in my ownership for some time I'm thinking that intermediate oil changes will be a good thing rather than the 2 year / 18k miles service interval that BMW state. Cheers for any responses. |

If you get the service pack they will only service as indicated by I drive/key fib so they won't do intermediate service changes although you do get free oil top ups if I remember correctly.

Intermediate oil changes (oil and oil filter only) at dealers should be £150-200, depending on area.
You can check on the BMW site if the car has service pack already. You never know, you might be lucky. |

Thanks for the replies chaps.
Just wanted to get an idea of ball park figures to see if there were any regional variations. Been quoted about £245 for the first service, £408 for the second & £84 for the brake fluid change at a preferred BMW dealers. I reckon I'll get all of these in the 5 year / 50k mile service pack so it seems like good value. I've got another vehicle & am a member of a car club which gives me a bit of discount on servicing costs - i manage to negotiate some pretty good discounts with a local dealer which makes it on a par with specialist / indies. Is there anything similar with recognised discounts for any BMW type clubs? Also been quoted £120 for an oil change but did need to push them a bit on that... |
