Fuel Filler Door
Quick little question. For reference, I have an LCI 328i sedan.
I've noticed a few times that when I get out to refuel my car my fuel filler door will automagically pop open at the same time I open the drivers side door. I don't really mind it at gas stations since I'll open it anyway, but elsewhere it's a bit of a problem. For example, yesterday when I pulled into a parking lot to do groceries, I'm assuming it popped open as soon as I got out of the car. It was closed when I left work. It's lucky I glanced over at my car (out of habit since I can't stop admiring it) and noticed it open. After refueling, I always make sure there's an audible "click" after I press down lightly on the door which activates that plunger thing. Then I'll lock the car via the remote and go in to pay. Anyone else had this issue occur? I've searched a bit and only found issues where people had their door NOT opening. Here I am stuck with a door that seemingly loves to open, go figure. Thanks! |
