Charge pipe rental for smog? SF bay
Hey everyone! I trying to smog my 1, but I cant pass since I don't have the stock charge pipe and DV's. Anyone have a spare sitting around that I could rent or buy?

Do you mean downpipe? The charge pipe gets changed out because the stock is plastic instead of metal. There shouldn't be anything in (or not in) it that causes you to fail smog since it is before the engine.

In CA you need to pass a visual inspection with the hood popped. If you have aftermarket things under your hood that aren't CARB (California Air Research Board) certified then the inspection station can (and will) fail you for modifying a part of the engine that may alter emissions.
