I figured I would start a thread for members with a lease that modify their car. I guess we can discuss modification in relation to lease agreements.

I’ll start: 2011 e90 335 xdrive msport
Mods: Black grills, ZHP knob, golf tee mod. (Just got the car so not much lol)
I'm looking to drop it, but I'm not sure quite yet. Hoping some of you can shed some light on this in terms of experience.

Only mods I would attempt on a lease are suspension and tints. I do not know what the tortures are for the dealer finding a tune on leased cars. If they void the engine warranty on a leased car, does that mean you have to buy it out?

Also too many cosmetic mods turn into a waste of money when you have to reverse them all at the end of the lease.

One thing I would say is that if you are going to mod a 3 year lease... do it early!!! At least you get to fully enjoy the mods put on the car...
