is 9/32 90% tread on a Bridgestone RE050 Potenza run flat

I found an amazing deal, $200 for a Bridgestone RE 050 Potenza run flats

I was about to jump on the deal when my friend told me that 9/32 is around 40% tread. Is this true?

9/32 is more like 90%-95% tread. 100% is 10/32

Garage List
1. Tirerack has tread depth specs on their site for all tires the sell (many tires ).
2. Tirerack also has a good article on how to measure tread and adjusting 2mm for wear marks to calc pct remaining.
