Wheel repair question. Is this quote reasonable?

So I have a badly curb rashed wheel. Not just scratches but deep, nasty gauges, run your finger across it and you will get cut.

Called a local place I found on google (good reviews both from yelp and google). Described it to them best I could, they quoted me $125.

So my question is, what extent of repairs could they do for that money? I know I could call them and ask, but wanted to hear people here first. Do they just sand it down to make it smooth and respray? Or they actually fill in the holes and even it out and then respray?

If they do it properly it should be a sanding, fill the gashes and respray. Also, depending on how bad the gashes are the wheel may need to be rebalanced as well, but that is pretty extreme. $125 seems like a reasonable quote if they do quality work

He said that before they do any cosmetic repairs they spin test it to see if it is true and structurally sound.

It will be a spare (if I decide to do it), it's front wheel so will fit front or back when needed.

I think $125 is the average market rate. I've gotten quotes from 3 different places, and they were all $125/ wheel.

125 sounds about right.. Curious what do OEM wheels cost? 500 each?

That price sounds about right. As far as the work that needs to be done, it depends on the type of damage, but most places will put it on a lathe to smoothe it out, or they will fill in the gashes and respray.
