Thank you for trying to help out, but I think I'm going to just remove them. I always go for performance rather than looks. I actually just bought the stock 18s to replace my stock 19s. I want the lightest wheel, with a softer ride on the road so that I can drive the car in Sport + without grinding my teeth. I notice a huge difference in the rear when the spacers are on and not just on my car, even with guys who have 10mm spacers say that it almost feels like the weight is on the bolts/lugs of the car..some people might not notice, but I do. I'm super-anal about ride quality and my senses are notoriously more sensitive than the average Joe's.

I'm going to stop by Tuesday and have you guys install the new wheels and remove the rear spacers. If y'all don't mind. I don't want an oz of extra weight on the car., thus me replacing the wheels to 18s. Hehe

Still love you guys, and this has nothing to do with you...you guys always do a fantastic job (and I'm not just kissin booty here)

I'll call in today and set something up to remove my 19s and install my, already balanced, 18s. ( and removing the wheel spacers of course)

Got better pics? Looks pretty damn good to me.

But my goodness the 18s look HORRIBLE with the stock ride height. Especially in EAS' pictures

Tom, I'm thinking about going 15/12, but for my winter wheels I will be getting a set of winter tires that are all the same size (255/35) ...

I have an extra set of the OEM wheels I will be mounting them on.

1) Would you recommend keeping spacers on in the winter?

2) If so, would the winter setup look weird with those tires?

3) What sizes would you recommend?

To Answer your questions

I have an extra set of the OEM wheels I will be mounting them on.

1) Would you recommend keeping spacers on in the winter?

Yes spacers will work whether it be track wheel, winter wheel or street wheels.

2) If so, would the winter setup look weird with those tires?

The rear is going to be decently stretched with a 255 on a 10. Fronts will look the same.

3) What sizes would you recommend?

15 front in perfect for the rear I think you can go bigger especially with a 255. I am thinking 15-20mm spacers.

You're absolutely right. Some people don't realize the difference, and can't tell....but ALL spacers will change the feel of the car as far as feedback and ride quality.

I purchased rear 15mm MS spacers and they were installed professionally, but I instantly felt more bumps on the road in the rear. I could definitely tell that the ride was a bit more thumpy. I can only imagine what the front will do....heavier steering, steering feel would be slightly changed (in a bad way), and the feedback to the steering wheel when going over cracks and road imperfections would be greatly amplified.

But, some people don't care, and most don't realize it....so, in a way, it's all good. I do have to say though, every M4 I have driven has had either less or more understeer than the other. Every M4 drives different. (At least the one's I have driven) I did get to drive an M4 with MS springs and 15mm spacers in the front and rear, and the car did handle better. The front had zero understeer.....on the road.

RAD makes a wheel lock that would work both 15mm and 12mm. Only thing is they are in silver and not black.

I ordered today H&R sport springs. But still undecided for spacers. I think I will order 10mm front and rear, I kind of like tires inside and not so flush. I have stock 19" wheels.

At least 10R/12F? Going with a square setup only exaggerates the inset difference between front/rear axles.

Let me know if you need additional help.

I really like the looks of these. However the vibration some guys have makes me wonder if it's worth it. Are the majority pretty happy with the purchase?

Why aren't more people doing 15mm all around? It looks like there's room for more poke in the rear with just a 12mm.

15MM all round works as well. Just really depends on the persons preference.

Here is 15mm all around

While a bit on the conservative side, 10/12mm would look great!
