Well for one, your adaptive headlight ballast looks to be blown- get your headlights checked. Did none of the suggestions in the other two threads you started not help?

Feel sorry for ya man, If it is tranny thats going to be pricey problem have transmission place look at it. Im leaning towards junk yard tranny replacement is your best bet if something is bad and not quick fix. Depends on what it is.

Im sub'd wondering what the hell this could be from if not transmission related. Are you getting any codes OP?

Edit: Matter of fact I'd post this again in the N54 section then you wont have tools with 328s who have no helpful comments chiming in.

More helpful info from the guy with the stig in his avatar pushing a 328. Should be a guy holding his wifes purse.

Seriously tho the dick comment is pretty funny

I remember reading something about a throttle plate or throttle reading. Ill look for it

"Possible malfunction in ignition or transmission/selector lever."

If the attached guide is too simple for diagnosing what you have, you may as well take the car to a dealership or specialized indy.

Cool Tech

Take it to a tech. Nobody said driving a BMW was gonna be cheap. It could help also, to tone down that language.

Where did you get that SER? I see that icon as a transmission fail safe in the pdf you provided. Kudos on that btw, saved that for reference.

Quick search says it could be anything from a battery replacement, a loose cable connector or the tranny is just toast.

Edit: Never mind, seems it refers to a few different things. OP can use that pdf and reference the transmission problem (what gears available etc) to narrow the search for the problem
