I noticed on at least 3 different occasions that my A/C would turn on by itself (when I start the car). The first time it happened I thought I might have accidentally hit the button. After it happened again a few times, I realized it is an issue. It happens sporadically - after a few days.

Anybody had has this happen to them before? What was the issue?

If it happens one more time, I'm taking it to the dealer.

If you have auto climate control on, it turns the A/C on automatically so it can better control the temperature.

No, everything was turned off (pressing the small fan button). It never done that for the first 2 years I owned it, just started doing it by itself.

If AUTO is on, AC would start no matter what the setting on the fan would be or temperature. Make sure AUTO is turned off.

How do you turn off AUTO? I normally just press the small fan button to turn it off.

If the HVAC is coming on automatically when you start the car even when you have turned it off prior to shutting it down, something is wrong.
Even if you have it on auto and the fan isn't turned on, it should not come on. To disengage auto just press the Auto button and the green light should go off. Or press one of the fan direction buttons on the left specifying where you want the air going to:
