Tint tail lights?

So what is your guys personal preference on darkened tint taillights on a black metallic 2009 335i E92? Should I get it done? Or keep the ruby red taillights?

My opinion, they can look tacky if they don't flow with the rest of the cars styling well. On the other hand, they can really make a car pop out of done properly.

I for one am not a fan, I love the oem look and love the 3 line led strips (pre lci). Deff a tacky mod and imo drops the class of the car

it really depends on the color of the car and how dark you go on the taillights. I myself prefer the stock OEM LCI taillights.

Not a fan of the looks unless really light and done professionally. Also another reason for cops to pull you over as they are illegal.

I'd take safety first above aesthetics. A brightly-lit set of OEM taillights are way more visible than dimly-lit, sprayed-on lights (out of a can or even if professionally done). Imagine driving near sunset with the sun in front or slightly above you. You brake to slow/stop but the driver behind can't tell you're braking. Then WHA-BAM!! Over $1000 in damage to my Accord all because I wanted to look cool after spending ten bucks on a can of spray paint and painter's tape. That was twenty years ago as a teen in college. Haven't made the same mistake twice in my more wiser years. Safety first!

I did my cousins with some candy apple tint, then cleared, not too dark, they looked sick. They look exactly like these http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1283211644

A lot of ppl use vht, no clear, and make em super dark, which is why they get a lot of hate.
