E92 335d -> F36 435d
Good morning all, I'm interested in any opinions from people that have made a similar car swap to me. I had a 335d E92. I sold it at 4 years old and about 39k miles. I loved it and it was very trustworthy but after 4 years of ownership I fancied something new. I went for the 435d GC with adaptive suspension, heads-up individual Leather etc. I chose this car because it seemed to have lots of similarities with the E92 but had bigger boot, and 4 doors etc. On paper the engine seemed like a step up and I thought the adaptive suspension would cure my tiring of the compulsory hard as nails E92 ride.
Sure, the new car has more tech and the suspension seems more "sophisticated" but I have to say the driving experience is no where near as good and the performance is disappointing. Is it just me or have others also experinced disappointment with the F36? The new car is supposed to have more power and with 4wd I thought this would mean more fun but I have to say I miss the rwd tail and any setting on the F36 suspension never seems to recreate the feeling I got from the E92. Will it improve with time or did I just make the wrong decision? |
