I know my CPO is covered to 100k, is there something like this in the UK where it is covered for parts like this until 100k?

excuse my stupidity lol but what do you mean by CPO and about the 100k that's what im trying to find out as well if these mechanical parts are covered up to a certain mileage

I picked up a lease return e90. The dealership puts it through having it become a certified pre owned vehicle. It has warranty on select parts up to 100k. I feel the differential at 24k should be covered.

Hmm im not sure because i bought mine brand new from the dealership as in im the first owner and in the UK we get a warranty for 3 years which like i said expired last year. Everyone so far who i've spoken to said that theres no parts warranty that they know of and i've tried reading the fine print that came with my handbook and papers etc and i couldnt find anything

A failure like that looks like a mfg defect, in the US it would be covered no issue, since your in the UK, good luck, ask for goodwill with the dealer, or take it up with BMW AG.

You could also find a used differential on eBay for like $200-400
