Saying goodbye soon to my E92 for an E46 M3..

Well guys, I knew this would happen at some point in my life, but I didn't think I would have to let go of my E92. Financially I can't keep and insure 2 cars..

The E46 M3 has always been my favorite car and 3 years ago when I bought my E92 I didn't buy it because I was afraid of a used M3. As much as I love and spent SO MUCH money on my E92 it isn't manual and it isn't what I want.

I found the right M3 with 14,000 miles and I jumped on it. I should be in it in another week or so. I was in my E92 yesterday and I sure am going to miss the "modern" interior. But DAMN the E46 is so badass.

Any of you guys made this jump back to an older car?

Congrats on the new car, sorry to see you leave the e92 scene

I have seriously considered the same move but I am worried about reliability of a car with over 80k+ miles on it, especially BMW haha.

Toss up some pics and info on your new ride, I am curious what kind of deal you got for what options

EDIT: Holy shit I thought you said $14k not 14k miles, you lucky ass where did you find that hidden treasure?

I'd take an E46 M3 over a E92 328xi any day. Congrats and hope to see some sweet pics soon!

I would have, without even a second thought, gotten rid of my e92 328xi for an E46 M3. Glad you found one so "new!" Hopefully one day, I find the laguna seca blue E46 I am looking for.

I loved my E46 M3, very good strong car. You don't have to worry about much with reliability as i used to beat on mine everyday till i sold it with 135k miles!!

good move. Still my favorite M car, though the f30 is coming close to it. Enjoy it!

Whenever I see a E46 M3...it still looks good to me. Great design by BMW that will never cease.

congrats!

Many people have made the switch. The guy I got my last car from went to an e46 and then even got another after that. They're really cool cars.

Be sure to post pics!

What performance gains does an E46 M3 offer over an E92 335i?

The s54 is a pretty solid platform to build a wicked motor off of. You'd be very surprised at what some guys out there can do with them

nothing wrong with going from a 328 to e46 m3. e46 m3s are soo sick! if u had a 335i, then it would have been a harder decision

That's exactly it!

Thanks for all the posts, guys. I will still hang around the forums and post up some pics when I pick this baby up. I tell you one thing- these forums are waaayy more interesting than the E46 ones. Lol
