basement project on hold for the time being as i've been working at finishing and painting the final bay in the garage! got some more black cabinets on order to be installed on the open right side wall there as well as a black refrigerator/freezer! measured the cabinets and refrigerator and i have plenty of room



also received both my tire storage racks from TireRack.com. installed one of them and the other will be installed above my HF tool box. i also ordered the tire totes to give it a nicer aesthetics appeal. Very easy to install if i may add

now wanna ask you guys if you think having the garage rails painted flat black look cool or should i leave it metal looking? i think the flat black looks pretty clean. let me know

so i spent this morning painting one of the garage rails. i must say i'm digging it i just gotta go back and to some white touch up paint on the trim pieces

Black definitely looks better on the garage door rails than the stock metal color . Now that it looks all pretty, you could be hosting Sema in your garage :-)

on that note got the 3rd LED garage light installed by the front of the bay!


also completed the last row of the RacDeck tiles since i had to wait for the wall to finish drying from the new paint!


and for the step that goes into the house here's what i was able to do incorporate using the leftover RaceDeck tiles. let me know what you think or what i could've done instead

they're floating. the fact that it's boxed into all the sides and corners is what keeps it from moving around

My neighbor had a Boxter... until the engine blew! I guess there was an issue with the engine from that generation. ( believe it was an early 2000's.

We have a baller on this forum !!! That is a nice color, very good looking car. What's up with the steering wheel, there are some exposed screws if I can tell correctly. Is that by design or some trim pieces are missing? Did you already start modifying the car at the dealership before even buying it?

haha thanks dude! love this color. pretty similar to my Integra i had back in the day when i had it painted he same color as the 350z called Daytona Blue. hence my screen name btw




that's the GT sports steering wheel. it's meant to look like that. it's actually pretty cool. this is pretty much across all the models.

i have not yet modified it yet. the car is still stock but already looks pretty sporty and aggressive as is. i did however placed an order for a custom GT4 carbon fiber wing. trying to get some ideas:
1) leave it all carbon fiber
2) painted the wing sapphire blue with sating black PORSCHE logo on top and the winglets will remain carbon fiber
3) paint the winglets sapphire blue, leave the main wing carbon fiber and sating black PORSCHE logo on top





as far as modifications the 2nd mod i'll be ordering is the carbon fiber diffuser



you can also notice the carbon fiber ductail spoiler as well. that will also be done as well. it'll be a slow process as parts for this car ain't cheap but the car will look similar to this in the end minus the graphics. i don't like them

That carbon fiber spoiler with name is sweet as hell id go that option if it were me. Gives that good contrast to the blue paint.

Agree with Burrninja......although I'd be tempted to see what a colour coded Porsche logo looks like on the carbon. Looking at the diffuser pics, I was wondering whether it's possible to combine the trunk lip spoiler in carbon with the fixed carbon wing. Possible it might be too much, but also possible it could look sick as hell and be pretty unique.......just a thought. Either way, congrats on the new purchase and hope all goes well with the build 👍

The Cayman 718 GT4 model has both the GT4 wing and the ducktail spoiler. However on the GT4 the ducktail spoiler is fixed and does not go up when hitting a certain mph. On my GTS the OEM spoiler would need to be deactivated to prevent the spoiler from going up

here's what the spoiler would look like if left alone in carbon fiber. hard pick now that i see what it would look like on sapphire blue. but i'm leaning towards having it painted
