All,

I have a 330d 2008 M Sport and when I try to use the BMW online i get a message saying "no sim installed" -

1) where does the SIM go?
2) Can I not use Bluetooth on my iPhone 4s and tether my 3G connection?

I'm not sure how it works in the UK but in the US, BMW Online is an internet service that is paid ($199/year) through the Convenience Plan in BMW Assist. If you have BMW Assist but not the additional paid service plan, you cannot access BMW Online (it will say so in the iDrive screen). I'm not sure if you can use a tethered connection or not - I'm not techie enough for all of that! Haha

Hopefully someone else can provide some more input for you from the UK...?

It looks like currently you have TCU, but you need Combox to enable BMW Online. If you need more information, please send me an email to info@bimmerretrofit.com with your VIN#, and I will be happy top help.
