Need Opinions on purchasing 2007 328xi

The car is a 2007 328xi coupe , titanium silver ,black interior. and i was wondering what you guys think...

The car has 86K Miles and I was able to lower the price from $13,500 to $11,500
The car is also at a authorized BMW dealership
Im going to see the car tomorrow that they claim is in great condition, what do you guys think of the price and do you think the mileage is too high ?
thanks.

I got mine for 13.2k a year ago at 90k miles. All service was done up to date and the interior was FLAWLESS. Due to some other stuff I think I should have gotten it cheaper. Is it CPO, or under any warranty? I think the numbers sound good, just be sure to ask if the service is up to date.
As to your mileage question, if it has been maintained it should be fine.

EDIT: Also know which packages it had. Is it black leather or leatherette? Cold weather, sport, or premium packages, or a mix?

Thats not a bad price at all! I paid $19k last year for my 2007 328XI, but it was a 6MT, with cold weather pack, premium pack, sport pack, xenons, idrive, nav, and had 41k miles on it.

Depends on the other options the car has and what it actually looks like in person

Very true! There is a VERY large swing in price depending on options and condition with these cars. Miles don't matter nearly as much as condition and options. My 2007 328 had a sticker of $47k when new.... and was absolutely perfect when I got it, and had all of the most desirable packages and options which are not super common.

A good example- most 328s don't have sport pack or premium. Some have one or the other, but finding a car with both is very hard. The seats alone with both are amazing and well worth it though. iDrive is a love it or hate it thing, but I like it personally. There are plenty of good e90s out there for $13k, but just be careful its up to date with everything. I paid top dollar for mine, but was fresh off CPO and was perfect in every way and up to date with all maintenance.

There are too many unknown variables...

What packages does the car have? Premium, sport, comfort, etc.

Does it have Nav?

Xenon headlights?

Real leather or leathette?

All of those things make a big difference in the price of the car.

IMO, the sport and premium packages are a must. If the car doesn't have those I'd walk. You perhaps don't care as much about the sport package with a AWD, but as the above poster said, the seats alone are pretty much worth the sport package.

There is also no way in hell I'd drive a "German-Lux" car without Xenon or other high-end headlights. No one wants cheap halogens.

I was offered 12k (depressing) at a dealership today for my 09 xi sedan with 88k. So I think you are doing ok depending on how well optioned the car is.

3 weeks a go I bought a 2007 328xi coupe in the Chicago area. Premium, Winter, Sport, 6mt. 65K miles. Excellent condition. The carfax didnt show a lot of regular service but the car checked out as clean. I paid $15.5K. If everything equal but the miles I'd say it's a great deal. Try to see if water pump was changed yet. Plug the vin into that bmw vin check site and it will give you all the options, etc that the car came with new. You can also call any BMW service dept w/ the vin and they will give you the service history provided it was done at a dealer.
