Hi,

Does anyone know if the 2nd brake fluid in the BMW service pack 5years/60,000 miles is included?

I have been quoted £50 for the brake fluid and £20 for standard scope

Isn’t brake fluid at 3 years then every 2 years? I think you would only get 2 in.

Correction the first brake fluid was done in December 2016

it's a F30 330d XDrive on 63 plate registered in January 2014

mileage is 59k and the service pack ends in Jan 2019

I assume that was actually the first brake fluid change at 3 years old.

If your service pack is actually a 60k pack, then I guess you should be able to get the next (second) one done now. I'm not sure when they switched from 60k to 50k, but my April 14 car had a 50k pack.

Sorry I have gone back and Checked the idrive service history and the 1st brake fluid was done in December 2016 so technically this will be the second brake fluid

Yes I think that's right, just had my first brake fluid change at 3 years old and my idrive is now showing the next one in two years.

1. BMW Service Inclusive and Service Inclusive Plus cover the following items:

a) BMW Service Inclusive covers the cost of parts, labour and fluids for the following service items: engine oil service, engine oil top-up, brake fluid (at 3rd year only), vehicle check, air filter, microfilter, fuel filter (diesel models only) and spark plugs. These items are covered from the date of first registration for a period of 5 years or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs sooner).

b) BMW Service Inclusive Plus covers the cost of parts, labour and fluids for the following service items: engine oil service, engine oil top-up, brake fluid (at 3rd year only), vehicle check, air filter, microfilter, fuel filter (diesel models only) and spark plugs. It also covers the cost of the following maintenance items if required due to wear and tear: brake pads, brake discs, brake sensors, wiper blade rubbers (up to 2 sets within the package period) and clutch. These items are covered from the date of first registration for a period of 5 years or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs sooner).

Current 3-year plans don't even cover the first brake fluid change.

I don't think the 5 year service pack includes the 2nd brake fluid flush.

My 5 yr service plan taken out in Jan 2016 only includes for the 1st brake fluid change.
