N54 MHD FBO log.. bad timing and more

Finally went full bolt on with BMS dps two weeks ago, didn't flash the MHD stage 2 map last weekend. Done a couple of logs since and they aren't very pretty.

http://datazap.me/u/drunkenup/mhd-fb...13-14-18-19-23

So I'm noticing a lot of timing corrections across all cylinders and over all gears, as well as a very jumpy lpfp (however not dropping below 60 psi), and afr seems a little richer than other MHD stage 2 maps I've studied.

In that particular log, I had about a quarter tank, and I have not filled up with fresh fuel since reflashing to stage 2. Any chance the fuel is just shitty?

Been dropping the hammer an awful lot lately and it some times it feels punchy, other times it does not. It felt sluggish during that particular log and as if it was struggling to make power. I'm on the stock intake fyi

I don't really like the MHD Stage 2 maps (revision 5 atleast). How are your plugs?

Honestly I have no idea, I bought the car with Cobb stage 1 on it and its never missed. Personally I can't justify new plugs unless its missing or just plain running shitty (I guess it is now). If this continues through the next tank I'll throw in some fresh 5992s.

Haven't had the car for very long and logs were clean on stage 1 maps. Maybe they're not cold enough for stage 2?

It's very possible the old plugs aren't up to the boost level of "stage 2"

I had a situation a few months ago where my car would misfire on 20psi but run perfect on 18psi. Swapped the plugs and all was good.

Pushing the car harder with an aggressive tune can reveal existing weak links in your system. When I went to stage 2 cobb, I had a bunch of problems. The same with MHD 2. When I switched back to stage 1 on cobb and mhd, things were great.
I liken it to me walking vs running. I could walk all day without any issues, but if I run, my old high school knee injury becomes very apparent.
It's much easier, cheaper and less painful to replace a car part than a knee...

A few gallons of E85 at fillup should help with the timing corrections.

Realistically, NJ only has one station and its an hour north of me I'm already a little sketched out by the lpfp a little too.

Thanks so far everyone, might pick up new plugs and I'm probably gonna have it custom tuned sooner or later so this'll be a non issue

I don't really see anything of a concern.

What gear were you in at the start of the log? If second then those results are negligible, especially if traction control was on.

3rd and 4th are the only important gears.

A slight ignition correction of 1-2 degrees is nothing to call home about.

Your ignition otherwise is spot on with no drops (cyl 1).

Afr is a solid 11.7-11.8

The LPFP is solid in the upper gears.

Edit just found gear.

Looks like that first pull was 3rd.

The LPFP is the only slight concern but everything else looks solid.

As a side note, I can tell your are on stock intake as your WDGC are pretty high for the amount of boost you are running. Consider an intake upgrade.

Change your sensors to show STFT 2 and remove oil temp since it's moot.

Have you ever figured it out? I'm having identical symptoms. Thanks.
