Front turbo outlet v-band help

I can't get the clamp to...clamp - have been trying for hours. Any tips from people that have done this? Stock outlets and re-using stock clamp.

Closing the loop here - after putting an endoscope on it, found that the heat shield from the upper oil or coolant line (not sure which one that is) wasn't allowing the v-band clamp to close all the way. Pushed it out of the way with a long screwdriver and that's sorted.
