Cool F80 M3 rear subframe brace on F30

Does anyone try to fit the M3/M4 rear subframe brace on the F30?

I found threads about fitting the F32 / F36 rear subframe brace on F30
however, can't find any threads about the M3 ones

The M3 one has slightly more attachment points so I think the effect should be better than the F32 / F36 ones

here are the parts number
M3 ones (1 - on diagram)

33302284646 Dual link, right

4 F36 series ones (1 - on diagram)

Surely the rear brace for an F31 would be a no-hassle option ?

Why do you want the brace from an F80 M3 ?

I looked into doing the F31 rear brace on my pre-lci F32 but my car doesn't have the rear-most attachment point that the Touring & Gran Coupes have.

It's just aft of the rear diff and appears to be attached to the underside of the trunk pan. You can see it in this pic of a touring Ultra Brace.

Haven't looked into the M3/4 brace.

Here's a good Pic that shows the M braces. Won't be a while until I'm under my car, so if you give it a try, let us know.

according to other threads, there are two parts required in order to attach F32 brace

which is number 4 for left and right

And the rear is quite bouncy on my F30, so I'm thinking of stiff things up

comparing the pic of the m brace and the F32 brace, i guess the attachment point from subframe might be quite different

I wouldn’t associate a rear brace with reducing bouncing. What suspension is the car running ?

Uprated springs, dampers, and subframe bushes would have a far bigger effect on chassis control.

You don't need the M rear braces. The regular F31/F32 brace stiffens the F30 chassis enough.

That is one of many braces on the F80 that the F30 does not have, so there's little to be gained from just fitting the rear one without the others.

I have just the M brace that overlaps just the exhaust tunnel and does not connect to the sub-frame. I'd say the difference is slightly noticeable but minimal at best. When I take it to the track in a month I'll know it's full potential.

Same here, been waiting for someone to say that. Noticeably stiffer and lighter when both parts are held in hand.
