Loaded with low mileage which is good. However, I think you can find a better price.

I think it was an option not the standard sport wheel. The guy seems pretty certain he ordered every option except auto trans.

see if your local dealership S.A. will print out a complete service record of the vehicle. Carfax seems to not list all items fixed, but will generalize "maintenance service"

Good luck!

That's not bad at all if it's CPO'd. Otherwise it's high by a couple grand. I'd take that car @ $32k.

Well I hope you reviewed the service records to be sure. Though its under warranty, it could have some issues, just to be sure. How many HPFP's? Software Update?

$30K non CPO for low mileage loaded 6MT is good deal overall, you can get a extended service/warranty if you plan to load up miles and own for 4 years...

It has some expensive options, in fact, all the gizmos....NICE!

Dump the RFT's asap and get summer performance tires, changes and improves the ride and handling big time.

Get a M3 rear lip, tint windows and your stylin...

miles were more important to me than anything else. I don't remember seeing anything else with less than 20k miles or even 30k.

do dealers sell additional warranty coverage if I wanted to add it later?

Yes, in fact you qualify for BMW extended coverage with the low miles. Ask about whats best based on your yearly miles and how long you want to keep car.

i always thought cars that had clear bras said something good about the owners regarding car care. seems like the perfect used 2008 coupe price and non-cpo aside

I wouldn't want active steering. Steering feel is something a BMW has that you can't buy for any price with a Japanese car, why give it up? And active steering is yet another thing that could break.

"Low" miles do not matter with a BMW. A N54 can break driving it off of the dealership's lot. The only thing low miles would do is prevent you from crossing 50k and having the warranty expire on miles.

My car has 25k and is over 4 y.o. It spent 6 mos. being undriveable until it was finally repaired by BMW.

Yes, as of late 2009, extended warranties opened up to everyone, not just the original owner as it was < 2009. BMW was starved for money just like any other car co., so they opened it up (that reduced the exclusivity of the CPO market).

Figure it's around mid 3k for an extended warranty. You can now add it as long as your factory warranty is still valid. It used to be it had to be added by the original owner not later than 45 mos.

low miles matter to me. No matter what car you drive off any lot, there are only so many finite joyous miles that any car is capable of.

you are right. milege is also the most important thing for me. its just a basic law of probability... less miles, less chance of wear and tear. not always, but most of times.

by the way, 34k is a bit high for 2008, although it has very low miles, which i really like. i think you could go few k lower. be ready to walk out at any moment because ultimately the stealer is the loser for not selling.

You cannot preserve a car by not driving it--that's a fallacy. There's a time factor. There have been 335's which failed at 900 miles, and some with 75k that are fine. You guys can feel good about being right, as long as you believe it. Just don't forget, with stats, they need to be reliable and valid.

How is 34k a bit high for a 3 y.o. car? Typical mileage is 12-15k per year.

I find that people who drive reliable Japanese cars have a lot to learn when it comes to BMWs (OP?). That paradigm shift will only come after BMW ownership.
