I wouldn't mind having the Extreme IV UDMA cards, but the D300 has a pretty big buffer, so I don't know if I really need that 45MB/s write speed.
thats an awesome deal! I wish I was back home, they don't have any costcos in NYC.. I miss costco hot dog and drink combo..

Crap. I got a 45MB/s one. Can you tell me how many RAWs you can shoot in a row before the buffer fills up on your 30MB/s?

Sandisk because it's a name I trust, and my Extreme III 8GB SD was made to work best with my Nikon D90. For my camera, why would I consider anything else at the moment?

Don't know how to test it really, but I did the following:
RAW
f/3.5
1/250

I clicked off 21 shots in 3.9 seconds. I released the shutter when it slowed down (it was noticeable) to get the picture count.

The buffer says (r06) in the view finder, and it slowly counts down to 0. So I think a "safe" number is 20 continuous shots on Ch before it slows down.

Is there a better way to measure that?

Great I just wasted my money on the Ducati. I doubt I'll ever need to shoot more than 10 RAWs consecutively.
