Jet black with terra
Hey guys,
I cannot decide whether to get Terra with alu trim or with titan matt? Is there a big difference? Why should I get Alu and why Titan? thank you, appreciate your help! |

The brushed aluminium is real metal, it looks substantial and hi-tech. However, it is cold to the touch in the winter and I hear it can scratch easily.
The titanium on the other hand is plastic with a silvery grey finish. Some people say it looks cheap but I think it looks okay. As you spending the money to get Terra leather, if I were you I would go the whole hog and get brushed aluminium with it. I have seen this combination it it looks quite distinctive. |

The shortcoming of aluminum is it's susceptability to scratching according to some owners. Aluminum is a relatively soft and can be scratched with incidental metal, such as on handbags, coats, etc. I do not have aluminum trim.

Personal preference - do what you want.
I have black leather and titanium in my '02 Coupe (still can't sell the damn thing!), so opted for burl this time around for something different. IMHO aluminum looks great with the terra, but surprisingly, I really ended up liking my choice of terra/burl - no regrets. And the Black Sapphire/Terra combo really works for me.

I've got Jet Black with Terra and I think the Burl looks really great with it, but I wanted a more luxury look.
I've seen the terra with aluminum and it looks pretty sporty, but (IMHO) the aluminum doesn't seem to compliment the brown hues like the burl. The aluminum with Terra is kind of like wearing gold and silver together. But, we've all got our tastes. Whichever trim you decide, you are going to love the Terra, I love mine more every day. Every time I drive through at a coffee shop, I get the person working the window staring into the car and saying how cool and unique it looks.

I have Saphire Black with Terra & Burl and it looks warm/luxurious & inviting.
I would never choose Terra from a brochure but I saw this combo in a dealership & bought the car there and then. I think it is a perfect combo for a black exterior and a little different from the norm. |
