Is it wrong to run a FMIC, CP, and DP on stock tune?

So like the title says. How bad is it to run a FMIC CP and DP all on the stock tune? Im trying to space out the costs a little bit. Will I throw CEL, perhaps drivetrain malfunction or will things be hunky doory until i throw a boot mod3 on there?

edit: i have a dinan sport tuner on it too running +3 psi for what its worth (ill take it off before the tune)

You'll get a bit of added power and throttle response for sure. Normally you'd be better off getting the tune and then the bolt-ons, but it's not going to hurt any going this route. You'll get a CEL from your downpipe for sure, if you're not too concerned about that then all good.

Im in a similar situation... no tune and running:

FMIC
CP/TP
DV+

Soon to be adding a DP. Having second thoughts about catless because I don't want to deal with the CEL. But then again, apparently even a HFC DP is prone to a CEL.

Have heard of a trick with a spark plug fouler to space out the o2 sensor but not sure if that is a realistic solution long term.

Won't hurt as it's just letting the car breath better. Currently have FBO and running stock atm. Will be adding a tune soon once I have a couple things settle down but haven't had issues running stock with the upgrades.

Only "issue" is that you will undoubtedly have a CEL from the DP (unless you are getting a Fabspeed Sport Cat), but even that won't hurt the car. Don't expect any noticeable gains, however, until you flash a tune.

This. It's always good to replace the CP as they break stock. DP will give you a better sound ( in my opinion). But as said, these mods will not give you much in the performance end without a tune.

I think the better option to stage the upgrades would be to do the FMIC, CP, and Stage 1 tune first, and then later down the line, upgrade DP and flash Stage 2 map.

This is exactly what I did. Debating on DP, leaning towards VRSF as I've heard good things.

One thing to consider with this option is he'd be out another $100 to flash both maps which hurts his position of spacing out costs.

That's pretty much what I did though because I'm indecisive hahaha.

I recently installed FMIC, Charge pipe, Fabspeed catted downpipe, going to tune soon, I can certainly feel a performance increase once the downpipe was installed, definitely more low end torque, and the sound is awesome.

A catted DP without a tune is good for around 15whp and 20-30wtq across the powerband plus better throttle and turbo response.

So I did the FMIC, DP, and CP all in one go and then bumped my dinan sport tuner from sport+ to race, i believe in race its doing +4psi, certainly feels a bit ballsy-er I really should have tried out the car with the dinan in sport+ first to see if i really felt a difference

Im still debating an OTS tune from BM3 or going a custom tune from DME tuners here in northern jersey. Its 600 one way or 1700 the other. gotta weigh it and see if custom is worth it. Idk if im car savy enough to dig into the settings of BM3 and make sense of anything going wrong, 1700 is a lot but that seems like pay the professionals and be done with it could be worth it.

heres their website: http://dmetuning.com/

I'm running VRSF DP catless, and love it! Best bang for buck. Got mine here on forum mad cheap.

Also, with my car I plan on having it for years. I'm going the route of doing Bolt ons then tune. Personally because if you tune you'll need to change charge pipe and all that and intercooler is deff good to have for better temps. That's why I'm choosing to do the tune last. I did the down-pipe first just for a little sound and I got it for 125 on here. Couldn't beat that

Just my 2 cents!

Im also tuning last. Last item I need is a catless downpipe. Strongly considering Circuit Werks.
