They is a hefty price for a 328i. You make a good point about the A6. You can build a heavily optioned A6 2.0T for under $50k. The new A6 is really nice inside, the new touchpad navi is great. It will lack some performance compared to the 3er, but the fit/finish and feel of the A6 is a class above.

I'm just pissed coz the only thing I care about in the premium package if I would go w a 335 is the comfort access and the sat radio, so to get them I have to pay for the whole package, it's like the xenon lights and premium package argument in the MY12

Other than being a subsidiary of VAG, does Porsche actually share any components with Audi? As far as I'm aware, Porsche is still Porsche just under a bigger company. I think you should've used Lamborghini as an example. Doesn't Audi engineer engines derived from Lamborghini engines? VAG buys up everything, hard to keep track of what is what and the details of everything...lol
Anyway, 3-Series getting up there in price (which is no surprise really, I've come to accept it...). I also don't like how they bunch some things. Sure the price justifies what's included but why would I want to pay more for a package when I only want one component? Last edited by TheBingoBalls; 05-15-2012 at 11:29 PM.. |

Compared to my 2012 335i Sport setup $51170 = $895 $1000 more and I will get the M sport and blind spot detection. I think it's not bad. I will wait till dec to order one and hope there will be winter cash on the new models. |

Thanks. Was planning on placing an order by the end of the month for a 328i, but now I am not sure cause about the changes. e.g.- updated NAV on f30 touring Any idea if the nav software on the existing f30's can be upgraded to the 'new one'? |

"Sat Radio Preparation" is the Sirius antenna pre-installed and pre-wired in the roof sharkfin. Since MY2010 the Sirius tuner has been built-in in either the iDrive or the Professional Radio HU; there is no more a separate tuner available from factory or for dealer-retrofit. If ordered from factory then the Sirius tuner is activated and with a 1-year subscription already set. If not ordered from factory then the activation can be done by the dealer by paying for the activation codes (FSC) and coding. Price of the FSC is about the same as ordering the option from factory, but with the addition of dealer labor charges -the 1-year subscription will be included for the total price. |

When will we be able to see wholesale pricing for the 2013 3-Series?

Well, it looks like I just got priced out of the market. A moderately equipped 328 now costs nearly the same as my 07 335. That's a tough pill to swallow. My finances are not that great at the moment, and that's probably why I'm complaining, but I never had a problem purchasing a BMW before, even when I made less money. They're just getting very very expensive.
Sadly my 335 has nearly 115,000 miles on it, and I'm nearing a time when I do need to purchase a new car. I guess I have champagne taste, and a beer budget LOL.

When I was considering a 2011 335d, the MSRP with everything I wanted was about 55k. I am looking at an MSRP right now for an M Sport 335 at right around 55k with improved options over what I was looking at a couple of years ago, in a better car with more room and similar fuel economy - i have no complaints. The drive event cash and BMWCCA cash equals an extra 1500 off. Nothing to sneeze at.

Can someone tell me what color(s) "Leather Dakota" is/are available for ordering it standalone on a base model for $1450? I can't seem to decipher it from the ordering guide. Thank you.

Like I said, it just seems to be my financial situation that's leading to these discussions. But with that aside, a $48,000 328 just doesn't make sense to me considering I remember getting 325's for between $31,000 and $37,000, not too many years ago. Even my first e90 325 was only $38,000.
