Winter Tires - Will They Fit?
Hi Everyone,
I bought a 2014 BMW 335i xDrive this past spring. Love it and have been addicted to this forum ever since, although this is my first post. The car has M Performance Package 1 and 2. The car currently has 403M rims and I love the look of them. Anyways, I am now looking for winter tires. One of my co-workers has a set of winters from his E92 335i that he is looking to sell and I was wondering if they would fit on my car. They are 18" stock offset. 225 up front. 255 at the back. Any input would be greatly appreciated as I am so new at all of this. When I called BMW Toronto, they said they would NOT fit. Thanks again. |

yes that should be correct, i myself have the m performance brakes on my F30, you must get atleast 19" to clear the brakes, some aftermarket rims that 18" may pass but i dont have a list of any... depends on the design, but safe bet is to consider 19" rims my friend, im doing a little shopping too for a winter set, ill let you know what i find

No way they'll fit. The brakes will get in the way. As others have said, you'll have no choice to go with 19s which is unfortunate as you'll want a smaller rim for winters in Toronto

Thanks a lot guys. I appreciate you getting back to me. I think what I'm going to do is just buy winter tires for my existing 19" 403 M rims. Put those on and then buy new "summer rims" next spring.... Now I got to decide on those rims...

Are the 4 series M Sport brakes the same as the ones on the 3 series? If so, 18's can fit, but you will need to test fit them. When I went to Tires 23, they had to fit a few sets on as some don't fit due to the spoke/barrel design.

The BBS SR wheels in 18x8" fit over the M Performance brakes.

I have 18 inch wheels with 225's all around for winter. Ordered them from Tirerack
I think they are from "Moda" Summers are on 403M and I have the M-Sport Brakes with the blue calibers and they fit. |

The wheels might fit, but the tires from the e92 normally has a lower profile than the f3x, like 225/40/18 vs 225/45/18.

Thanks for everyone's input. I ended up just putting 19" Blizzak's on existing 403 M rims. My plan is to use these as winters and then get a new set of summer rims in spring...
