Updates for 2016 M3
Looks like the updates are finally confirmed...
http://www.caranddriver.com/news/201...-and-info-news The alterations are less extensive with the M3. The head- and taillights receive a sharper, more angular contour, and up front, the M3 now illuminates the road with icy, LED beams. The taillights look more aggressive as well. There are also two new (extracost) exterior paint colors. Like the regular 3-series, the M3 gets a tweaked interior, although we wonder if this ultrasporty derivative really needs more chrome inside. At least the upgraded iDrive and navigation setup will be more responsive. Everything else carries over—and that's not a bad thing. The new M3 retains the structural changes, unique suspension components, lightweight seats, and the carbon-fiber pieces that set it apart from the regular 3-series.

It says it gets new headlights but I don't see a difference.

...And that is why you never wait for an LCI update. You missed out on a year of ownership for taillights that will cost under 1000 to retrofit like the previous models.
OK, so no Competition package? Was that article referring to a competition package update with 20" 666M wheels a fake? Or is there a chance that may be announced for the 2016? OK on to the important part, can someone find the part numbers for those taillights??? And when can we order them? haha |

Thats what I figured. Although, I don't expect a change to the front when the F32 gets its LCI (as it has always been).

It think those update will happen way before 2106, likely 90 years earlier .

I guess they want to imply that the LEDs will now be standard.

IMO, ZCP will be released after LCI for the F80 and before LCI for the F82.

Not a fan of the new LED brake lights on the M3. I think that it should look like a one line of light, not like lighting points.

I was already ho hum about this supposed LCI, but for a 2106 model it is especially disappointing. |

Yeah, I wonder. In another article they posted up for the 3-series updates they mention the LED'S too... but they imply that perhaps it will come in a regular LED version, and, an option Adaptive LED version. ??
http://www.caranddriver.com/news/201...-and-info-news Bimmer's headlights get a sharper and more angular contour, and they’re now available as full LEDs—or adaptive full LEDs.

I hope BMW packs M3 better now w/o rising the cost. things I would expect - std LED, few items from Exec Pkg as std, low cost full leather
otherwise AMG will eat them alive. |
