Replica e90 M3 trunk lip fitment question
I bought a replica e90 M3 trunk lip, and I want to know whether this fitment will work out OK.
It is polyurethane (PU) plastic. The curvature does not follow the trunk line when looking from above (this is with the lip centered, sitting 1/4" to from the edge in the moddle like OE), as you can see the two ends are short and too far forward - the gap is growing from the 1/4" in the middle to much more at the ends. The lip will bend to meet the correct shape, but will the double sided tape hold it there? Espically after temperature cycles? Even though the polyurethane is pretty flexible, there is a lot of spring-back in the plastic. I'm also worried that the paint will look wavy after it is bent into shape.
