Horn problem

Realized for a while, that sometimes I press my horn it doesn't make a sound after a cold start.
Wonder do I have to take the airbag out of the steering wheel to grease the connections behind it? Does it have a have a connector behind that my need to put in the grease like the dielectric grease?

Does anyone have this issue?

If you google it, you will see quite a few threads or even videos about it. Typically the problem is with one of the two or both horns under the hood, not with the steering wheel switch.

I don't use mine often, but every time I have used it it has sounded a bit "homosexual"... so I also wonder if maybe one of the horns is not out...

Some people report it all goes back to normal after a few seconds continuous honking (happy neighbours).

Corrosion of the connectors on the horns is a possibility. It can be enough to keep the horns from sounding at first but after a while the current can push through the corrosion. Clean them with contact cleaner, dielectric grease should prevent it from reoccurring.

Thought the connectors are inside the airbag. Will try to take out and put some grease in the horn itself

I meant the connectors to the horns. You're far more likely to have corrosion there than inside the wheel.
