[GENAU]

Recently I purchased the oval cover for the oil drain plug. It clips in one side easy enough but the other has a circular hole in the cover and square hole on the underbody tray. Does anyone know what goes into that? The parts manager at the dealership couldn't find anything useful on the parts catalog he had.

Have you checked Realoem with your VIN to see if it provides the part (if available separately).

I found the part for my car but the odd thing is that it seems to have never been for my model...

In either case there is now screw or pin in the diagram:
