This logic appals me.

You are buying a car based on it's NAV screen?

Very impressive. The gap between a 28 and 35 has certainly been made smaller. let's see what BMW does next.

I've learned that people can be very picky when making decisions on expensive purchases. I personally think it's strange to be this picky but it's a personal decision.

Im sure there is a ton more power the I4 could produce and the tuners will have a hayday playing around with it. anyguess? 300whp with a tune?

The only thing that is going to suck is the engine note, especially if an exhaust is added. I would actually rally against an exhaust system for a 4 banger bimmer

as far as audi goes, the new refresh of the a4/a5's and s lines are hidious and have chick written all over them. What a waste of a gorgeous design. IMO audi is going to take all the e90 chicks and BMW will get the men back with the f30/f32. i know a few people that wont buy a e90 bmw because all you see driving them are chicks.

IMO it shouldnt matter, you should buy the car for what it is and how it handles not for the stereotype. Audi IMO isnt running scared, i think its the other way around. 528 cannot run against the new A6.
Its only about 3k for the 6cyl, if you do the same setup with the features like lights and sunroof.

I've been thinking all along that the 335i would get a power bump when the 4er comes out but your point might actually make more sense. Seems like I remember reading that with the E90, BMW wanted another performance model between the 335i and M3, hence the 335is. So instead of 3 gas models, there would be 4 (328, 335i, 3XXi, M3). I could see that.

Can anyone see an added bonus of getting the 335i over the 328i? I6 growl vs good performance and great MPG!!! I don't know which to get. I test drove both and still no idea.

yes, if I am spending $70K-$75K on a car, it better not have anything that I can't live with and I wouldn't spend that much money on a car and not get navigation, plus I think you get that screen even if you don't get navigation because other features like idrive audio and settings are displayed on it. Obviously my decision to buy a car isn't based on the NAV screen but that is one aspect that can sway me away from a car. I don't understand what best buy would have to do with it, so I can get an even uglier windshield mounted NAV screen? My point is that NAV is pretty standard on any upper end cars now, almost any car priced at $60K or more has it standard, and this is a brand new 3 series design, how could they not incorporate it better into the dash? the 5 series, 7 series, SUVs all do a nice job of it, why not the 3 series?

I believe I read the manual is supposed to be quicker per BMW, but I could be reversing that.

That's correct.

See official specs @ http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=592598

The 328i is quoted by BMW as: 0-60mph in 5.9s [auto] / 5.7 [manual]

I can understand the Nav screen sitting up there isn't your cup of tea. Your not going to like then, that bmw is moving toward this design for other cars in their lineup. The new m6 has a similar design. The spy shots of the new x5..same thing..even bigger..lol. I'm sure as new models come out they'll incorporate the same design. Seems like this is the styling direction for this generation of bmw. Personally, I find it attractive and modern..just my personal preference.

Spy pic of new x5:

To be precise the difference between similarly equipped 328i and 335i is $3,355 (MSRP prices) or $3,125 (invoice prices) - includes heated front seats and sport auto. This results in around $60 difference in monthly payments. Add another $10-$15 per month for gas. The interesting part would be if there is difference in insurance rates and how much.

you guys are right, NOT 7k

IDK, im watching closely, i cannot wait to see what the tuners can do with this. for only 60 bucks a month i might just have to go with the 335 for the engine note

Funny when watching the slalom test of the F30 in that video and then noticing the Porsche (at the end of the video) going through the slalom. F30 had a lot of body roll, Porsche had almost none (to be expected, of course). Hoping the stiffer roll bars that'll be on the m-sport package help us out here..

I think because the n55 is already pretty well reviewed at this point- but the N20 has all the buzz.
