e90 transmission fluid

real oem lists the transmission fluid as part 83222167718, but the part number for the fluid on fcp is https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...1l-83222163514. Wondering why are the part numbers different?

Not sure what that number is. From the 6L45 DIY, the fluid should be:

OE fluids below. You can use the GM one, Dexron VI is a GM standard, not a BMW one.

BTW, why is the part number for the fluid on the oil pan different than the actual part number which is 83222163514?

The number on the pan is the same fluid but 4 liters. $49.85 / 4 = $12.21/L

The liter bottle is $14.05.

Those if you have to have the BMW label on the bottle or jug. Otherwise many members pay about $26/gallon for the Maxlife stuff, including myself.

Use the Valvoline Maxlife fluid in the GM trans and also add a bottle of the Lubegard 60902 Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant.
