How do find my car's VO?
So I've managed to get hold of an FRM, seeing as my current one needs replacing.
I've been told that I need to provide a copy of my VIN (which I know) and my car's VO. Does anyone know what this is, and how I can find it out? I'm not very knowledgeable about coding, and I don't have any of the coding tools, other than the CARLY app. Thanks in advance all, Andy |

To clarify this;
The OP does not have access to NCSExpert or any other coding tools. He is limited to CARLY. He wants a new NFRM which is ideally precoded to his car. So VIN / VO coded and restored to default. I don't know CARLY well but I don't believe it reads the VO? Anyone know of a way to generate FA / VO from vin? Or can BMW provide this? I have heard of a program called FA Generator 4.2.0 but can't find this anywhere... |

I guess you can manually generate your VO by using a VIN decoder and putting together the option codes. But why not just get the cable and pull the VO from the car? You can even see if someone local can do it for you, takes 30 seconds.

Can you call any dealer and give them the VIN? They should have the VO no?

They may have the original VO but if the car/VO was modified, then they will mismatch between the CAS and FRM.
The OP should really have the VO pulled from the car.... |

Is the VO just the list of options from a vin decoder? I have that info. Thought it might be something bigger.
If I knew someone who could pull my VO using a cable, I wouldn't be here asking this. I've asked around but no one locally has come forward. |

Yea I know it's unnecessarily tedious work when it can be pulled in under 30 seconds with a DCAN cable. |
