Which TV to get?

Im looking to buy a new tv, these two are priced roughly the same, but what would you rather have? A 37" Vizio or a 32" Sony?

http://www.vizio.com/productDetails....=1760&pid=1506

KDL-32SL130

couldnt really find out much more bout the sony.

price is within $80 of eachother.

I'd go for the 37" Vizio. A couple of my friends have 50" and 60" Vizio's and they look great. I think that 32" is too small. So I say go for the 37" or bigger.

I've heard a lot of good things about Vizio. I almost bought a 32" Vizio a while back, but realized I didn't need a tv.

My parents have had 2 Sony tv's now and they've been great. I don't think you can go wrong with one of their's.

Where's the tv going? How big is the room?

Its going in my dorm room, I went to costco to look at them and they had the 37" vizio and 32"sony and to be honest the sony looked great but seemed small, especially for the price. The vizio looked just as good so im pretty sure im going to buy it later today...next question is I found a 40" Westinghouse online for ~400, is that as good as a 37" vizio?

No, definitely go with the vizio. If you get it from costco you have their 2 year warranty as well, rather than the 1 year manufacture warranty from any other retailer.

I disagree. I compared both the Sony and Vizio in store and the Vizio had superior IQ, especially when looking at viewing angles and color rendition.

I had a 32" Vizio with a power supply problem too. I returned it to Costco (no questions asked) and got a 37" for my kitchen. Then I bought a 42" Vizio for my bedroom. For the money, the Vizio is a GREAT value.

Did the same thing at costco, they had both tvs next eachother and to be quite frank, I thought the Vizio had better IQ. Going to go with the 37" vizio.

My friend got the 37" Vizio. To be honest, it doesnt look great. Maybe you can take a look at the Aquos (Sharp).

Be sure to demo the set on the type of source you watch the most. Many sets look fantastic on HD material but fall apart on regular cable or Satellite SD signals.
