Logic 7 Carplay head unit - wiring harness questions
Hi all, thanks in advance, I've been poking around threads but haven't really found what I'm looking for yet....hoping someone can help...
I have a 2006 330i Sedan with Logic 7 fiber optic most system. I've purchased Avin/Eonon radios in the past for E46 but was hoping to maybe just grab a Alpine or Kenwood this time around. I understand even for Avin/Eonon and logic 7 system you need a most adapter that avin and eonon sell that basically has 2 rca cables, a fiber connection, and 3 other wires you splice into the new radio (ground, remote, and power I think)....it basically just converts the fiber to rca so you can retain the factory amp. I know if you buy avin/eonon or other random brands they provide a harness. My issue is with say Alpine or Kenwood etc....what harness do I need to adapt to factory bmw harness and also retain steering wheel controls etc....I think that is my main struggle....I should easily be able to pick the metra install kit for adapting to double din etc....thanks a lot....has anyone done what I'm trying to do? |
