Need support

Hi everyone: As my sig indicates, I am fighting (and will win over) colon cancer. I am going through my last of 12 chemotherapy treatments. These began back in May and have last now 7 months (longer than expected due some bumps in the road).

Anyway, these last treatments can be difficult. In addition, I am up late studying for my last final of the semester that is tomorrow morning (Wednesday). It's a hard course and I just want to be able to take it, feel good about the exam and FINALLY be able to take a deep breath of relief.

Thanks.

Best of luck in all these situations. I am finishing up almost 2 years overseas this week and I know what it can be like to make it across that finish line. With a positive attitude and double down or two you can make it through any situation life decides to throw at you!

Good luck!!! Keep your sights set at your goal.

Let the group know if you need a hand, I'm sure there's someone who can offer up expertise.

THANK YOU!

Thanks to all of you! My final was okay. I don't really care at this point.
I have less than 24 hours until I am off chemo!

Plus--I had to take my car in today unexpectedly to get a new cable for my iPod integration setup. While I was waiting, I ran into a fellow member, who I discovered is a CA. We sat and chatted and he gave me 2 really cool 1 Series posters! They're square, which is cool and unique.

So, it all went well. A busy day indeed, but I feel like I can finally relax. Plus my sister gets in tomorrow morning for a visit! I'm picking her up and plan to give her the 1 Series ride!

THANK YOU!

Finished 8 months’ worth of chemo last night surrounded by my closest friends! Thanks to the 1Addicts community for your support! I'm looking forward to getting stronger so I can handle the beast that is the 135i even better!

Plus, I really want to do the 2-day Car Control Course at the Performance Center in the next few months as a reward to myself LOL

Keep a positive attitude!

I know it sounds strange, but go to the gym. Working out will take your mind off of things, and make you feel good about yourself (in many ways; naturally, your brain releases some pleasure senses after working out, working out relieves stress).

I was a regular at the gym before my diagnosis. I stayed away during chemo because of the germs and may just work out at home from now on due to the same. My immune system is always compromised because of my transplant.

But yes, it's amazing what a good workout can do for your body and mind.
