No. I have unlimited data and at most use 800mb a month.

AT&T will be throttling the top 6% [I believe] of their highest data users in an effort to make them curb their downloading/usage [I assume these users are all jailbroken/rooted phones doing bluetooth/usb tethering].

I think the top 6% use crazy amounts like 3 - 6 GB per month of data... which is alot through a slow ass device like a cell phone.

If AT&T does something to piss off customers, Verizon is just 1 step behind and vice versa. Thanks to the "free market" and "healthy competition", both of the companies dropped all remaining business ethics in the name of profit margins. They are 2 different companies on paper. Well, technically Verizon already did by no longer offering their unlimited data plans. Now, if Verizon also throttles high data users after already making revisions to no unlimited data plans AT&T and VZW might as well merge.

I'm waiting for the next iPhone, and I was hoping for sooner rather than later. My 2 year old 3GS's external speaker has completely died, and it sucks. So no ringer, text alert, email alert, game sounds, speakerphone, music or audio from videos/movies, etc. But I don't want to buy a new one right now with the next gen coming out shortly. A few more months of hassles I suppose....

dude, you can fix that for under $20. look up iphone repair around where you at.

i got a 3Gs from someone a while back. it was all kinds of busted. i had it completely re-housed with a new glass and everything for $75. my kid is happy as shit with an iphone
