Munich/Doha, 5th April 2013. Anniversary of a successful partnership: when the 2013 MotoGP World Championship gets underway with the Qatar Grand Prix this weekend, BMW M will be starting its 15th season as “Official Car of MotoGP”. BMW has been involved in MotoGP since 1999 and provides the official Safety Cars.

The Team Afrox/ADF Motorsport F30 3 Series race team is off to a great start in the 2013 Bridgestone Super Production Car race series.

BMW Z4 GTE race debut in Sebring – BMW Team RLL ready for fifth ALMS season.

Munich (DE), 12th March 2013. The 2013 season of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) is not the only thing kicking off at the 12 Hours of Sebring (US) this weekend. On the first weekend of May 2013 the Hockenheimring will host the curtain-raiser to the German Touring Car Masters (DTM) season – and the opening salvo in BMW Motorsport’s title defence. Following the drivers’ and manufacturers’ title-winning exploits of Canada’s Bruno Spengler and BMW in the brand’s comeback season of 2012, all eyes are now on the latest version of the victorious BMW M3 DTM. However, the undercard for the first of the season’s ten races will also be worth a look, as BMW Group Classic sends two legends of the track back into the limelight. On Tuesday, BMW Motorsport and BMW Team RLL presented the car and drivers for the new season at the “Daytona International Speedway”.

Supported by Premium Partner Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, guests from around the world were given the opportunity to inspect the BMW Z4 GTE at close hand, talk to those responsible for the team, and experience the iconic racetrack in Florida from the cockpit, courtesy of taxi rides with the BMW ALMS drivers.

It was a miserable day. Rain, sleet, and snow, mother nature was not kind to us that day! The closer I got to Regensburg the worse the weather got. The weather really makes one question one’s own sanity… but it was well worth the drive. As I rolled into the BMW Factory parking lot… I was surprised to see so many M cars driven in the snow(w/snow tires of course!). And they came from far away too! Four to five hours driving time. These M Flight guys were serious! As our tour time approached… we over whelmed the small little office that BMW had at the factory gate. We had over 63 people who came for the tour.
