This is really neat. The guys over at BimmerFile have scored an interview with BMW M Director and BMW 1M brainchild, Dr. Kay Segler. The interview took place during the 2011 NAIAS in Detroit.
The interview itself is about 6 and a half minutes long and touches heavily upon the important M topics of the day, that is to say the BMW 1M and the upcoming F10 M5.

Taking a quick aside to the MINI stand, we find the MINI Paceman concept car, a two door version of the Countryman which BMW would ideally position relative to the Countryman in the same way that the X6 is positioned to the X5. Not half bad.
More updates have been streaming through. Here is the latest, a video of the Vermillion Red 128i LCI cabrio that we saw early this morning. Enjoy!
As promised, here is more video of the BMW 135i LCI in Alpine White. You can see the new Gloss White interior trim as well!
Here is a late addition to the 1M Coupe @ NAIAS thread which has been blowing up. Exclusive HD video of the car on the stand. Enjoy!!

This is it! The official World Premiere of the BMW 6 Series Convertible. This car is the real deal production car. What was shown previously was the 6-Series Concept car. While the look of the car is basicly identical to the “concept” car, this is now an official production vehicle. In many instances, BMW likes to show off a “concept” version of a car first in order to acclimate the public to the new offering before making it official, so thats the major distinction between the … CONTINUED
In the same vein as the BMW 128i Convertible showcased at the Detroit Autoshow, here is the 135i which comes with the M-Sport as standard kit. The updated LCI headlights and tailights look just as fresh against the Alpine White as they did on the Vermillion Red of the Convertible counterpart.

Here it is, the all new BMW 1M, in Vallencia Orange and the first in the flesh photos. The official press conference hasn’t yet taken place, but the covers on this car were drawn back and everyone was allowed to take photos of the car.
