Back in April when BMW premiered the Gran Coupe concept, Scott26 mentioned something about a "Shooting Brake model" being built for market evaluation.

Its really a shame that the word "hybrid" has such a miserly connotation. Its as though everything stamped with the word has to be either economical, eco-friendly or worse: both! How are giant luxury cars with twin-turbocharged V8s supposed to fit in a category like that?
As far as we can tell, this car must have been swapped at birth with some prototype of a 7 Series with an M badge. This is funny, because the hybrid badge this car wears automatically leads us to expect a BMW 740i
BMW has been presented with two accolades at this year’s Fleet World Honors – Best Executive Car award for the 2011 5-series and Fleet Manufacturer of the Year award for BMW overall. Steve Moody, judge panel chairman, explained: ‘The new BMW 5 Series has taken the executive sector up yet another notch, with an engine line-up second to none for emissions and performance, generous standard specification, superb whole-life costs, class-leading residual values and a quality unparalleled even in this extremely competitive market.’
We bring you the first ever sighting (other than those who have already been given a preview) of an F10 5-series with M-sport package! As usual, the F10 5-series Msport package includes a more aggressive revised front bumper, sideskirts, rear bumper, and some seriously nice looking M-sport wheels! As previously reported, the 2011 5-series M-sport is expected to make its debut in October at the Paris Auto Show.
As if it wasn’t already difficult enough to source BMW euro-market only parts for our BMWs, it has just become even harder as BMWNA has now apparently stopped all sales of BMW European parts through its dealers in the US. Previously, generally, if you could provide a BMW parts department with an european market part number, they could order it for you. That will no longer be the case and we will all have to look to 3rd party suppliers or independent sellers for our european-only BMW parts going forward.
