Heres a thought; the 335is is more of a replacement for et E46 M3 than the current M3. Its got similar power (320 hp) with decidedly more torque (332 ft-lbs) for performance that is equal if not better than the previous M3. Its powered by a six cylinder powerplant like the M3 (albeit turbocharged) and weighs about the same (i.e. about 200 lb. less than the current M3).
Testing season is fully underway in Germany and the upcoming F12 BMW 6-series is fully involved. Here we see the upcoming 6-series still wearing heavy camoflage over the entire front and rear ends, which will be the most drasticly changed parts of the car when compared to the current example. Check out this rare delivery of two M3 ZCP Competition models. The two lucky owners beat the closing of the European air space and took delivery together in Munich. They are currently stuck due to the ash cloud, but we can think of much worse things than being stuck with a pair of M3 competition models in Europe!
Didn’t get enough of the BMW M1/1M clip from the Nurburgring yesterday? We bring you even more footage in this extended version clip. Over 2 more minutes of footage on and around the track!
another nice video of the Schubert Z4 GT3 on the Nurburgring/Nordschleife
Jon Sibal has again produced a stunning rendering of an upcoming BMW, this time the BMW M1 coupe. The M1 elements seen on this car (aggressive front bumper, hood bulge, side vent and skirts, flared fenders) look possible from spy photos and has been confirmed to be very close to the real thing by BMW insider.
This is the first customer F10 535i in black sapphire that we have seen. The car belongs to lucky owner TitangrauII530iA, who provides these photos. The F10 looks amazingly sleek in black, particularly with its shadowline (black) window trim.
As promised, here is the first ever video of the BMW M1 production body test car hotlapping the Nurburgring, as well as footage from near the track. The M1 looks fast and very firmly planted around the turns, with minimal bodyroll, as well as sounding terrific! Not enough? We will bring you more tomorrow!
These are the first photos of the BMW M1 prototype with production body performing hotlap testing on the Nurburgring in extensive chassis and handling. Previously, weve only seen the red prototype running on the track. We will have a video for you later this afternoon, so stay tuned!
