Watching BMW’s strip tease of its upcoming vehicles is always fun, especially when its the next 3-series (F30), and even more especially when the testing advances stages. In this case, the 2012 3-series has moved on to track testing on the Nurburgring! Which signals that we should hopefully see some of that body cladding start to come off.
We can also start to peek at the front bumper underneath the heavy camoflage bodysuit in one of the photos below.
It seems the big tuner hauses in Germany have been increasingly in a rush to get their work on the newest BMWs out into the wild. The pattern for the last year or two has been that the tried and true wheels from each of these companies first appears on the car and is paraded around the internet while the company continues its work on the interior/engine and exterior styling parts, which would be revealed at a later date. And so, here is Hartge … CONTINUED

Priaulx started from pole position thanks to his eighth place in the opening race. He started from 9th because of costly delay in qualifying, setting his time in the rain.
Lucky M3POST member technik1 is our first reported member who has reserved a special edition Frozen Gray M3. Lucky not only for being an eventual owner, but also one of the 30 owners-to-be who managed to put in their order in the 15 minutes which it took for all 30 units to sell out!
Thanks to a reader at Bimmertoday, we can now see what the M-sport aero kit for the F10/F11 5-series will look like. Pictured in these catalog scans is the F11 touring, but expect the front and rear M-Sport lower bumpers to be the same for the F10 sedan. Also pictured are the two M-sport wheel options – the 18" double spoke 350M wheels or the 19" double spoke 351M wheels The dark chrome tail pipes finish off the exterior changes. The … CONTINUED
The same guys (Rosenthal Automotive) who brought you the 2011 550i video we featured over the weekend has also produced a small feature of the 2011 E92 Coupe LCI w/ N55 engine. The cinematography is once again impressive, as is the direct comparison they provide between the facelifted and original E92.
This is far from a performance or technical review, but nevertheless provides some nice eye candy for fans of the E92 LCI model. They do get something right … CONTINUED
In a celebration of the 400hp, 500hp, and 600hp milestones, Car and Driver editors picked their favorite cars from each group. Their pick for the 400hp club was none other than our beloved M3, getting the nod over some heavy hitting competition such as Aston Martins, Ferrari California, Maserati, Nissan GT-R, and various Porsches.
To all our members who are lucky enough to be both a father and BMW owner, we wish you a happy Father’s Day. We hope you have kids who grow up (if not already) to share in your passion for BMWs, just as this 7POST member does for his dad’s stunning new 750xLi M-Sport. The F01 M-sport kit has been seen more commonly on black F01, but it looks equally great, if not better, on this white 750xLi.
Tonight I had the privilege of seeing a 2011 Frozen Gray M3 in person. The color looks spectacular in person, and the Competition wheels look amazing! Sorry about the poor picture quality…my battery was dying, and there was a huge crowd around the car.
Here is the best F10 5-series video we’ve seen besides BMW’s own official videos. Featuring some nice visual/audio effects a la Top Gear, the video shows off the stunning 2011 550i nicely, with some humor thrown in. Somewhat surprising is the fact that it’s produced by a BMW dealership – BMW of Alexandria. Make sure to check it out.
