The production F82 M4 Coupe is set to be shown this Thursday, after which we’ll begin to see its (and the F80 M3′s) marketing campaign gain momentum. As with recent new M models, one of the ways we should see the M3 or M4 (or both) get some publicity is in the role of a Safety Car for MotoGP, with which BMW M is a partner. BMW M is currently in its 15th season as the “Official Car of MotoGP” and provides the official Safety Cars to the premier motorcycle racing series.
Recent M cars serving as official Safety Cars include the M6 Gran Coupe, M6 Coupe, M5 Sedan and 1M Coupe.

A preview look at the BMW M4 F82 Coupe in Yas Marina Blue, a new standard color for the upcoming F80 M3 and F82 M4.
Some sites have been reporting the above image as a leaked official photo, but as you can see below, it’s simply a photoshopped image of an official wallpaper image of the 435i Convertible (source) using styling elements from the M4 Concept. Hence the oddly angled front wheel.
The real M4 convertible should not be much different than the photoshopped image however, as it will share exterior styling with the production M4 Coupe, which will adopt its styling from the M4 Concept.

Autobild is reporting that the next generation 2017 BMW 5 Series will add a 3 cylinder turbodiesel model in certain markets.
The 3 cylinder turbodiesel 5 Series is rumored to output 150 HP (110 kW) and sip diesel at just 3.9 liters / 100 km (60 MPG US / 72 MPG UK). The next gen 5 Series will ride on a new platform which it will share with the next gen 6 Series and 7 Series.
The report goes on to predict that the next M5 model will feature power in excess of 600 HP and will be offered with optional all-wheel-drive (as previously reported).
The next gen 5 Series is expected to hit the market in mid 2016.

BMW insider Scott26 shares some info on the upcoming BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe 4-Door Sedan.
A 4 door model of the 2 Series has been conceived as part of an expansive compact model strategy. And make no mistake BMW are interested in such a model because it adds consistency to the Gran Coupe series and would be a successful profit unit as well as establishing a RWD narrative for this exciting new segment.
The car is viable because of the modular architecture within the platform.
The car won’t appear tomorrow. At least we are looking at a possible mid-late 2015 introduction. BMW need to assess the reaction regarding the CLA and A3 Sedan in regards to how they affect the next step ie C-Klasse and A4 … CONTINUED
