Per Scott26: Because of the controversy that will launch with this car [the F32 coupe]. The prototypes have underneath the camouflage, vacumned plastic sheets and foam moulds that hide the overall details, it makes the car look fatter and chunkier when underneath it combines the sportier profile of the E92 with the elegance of the 6er.
The good news is that underneath the disguise lies a very good looking car ,which really enhances the stylish and individual looks of the E92 with modern BMW design language and … CONTINUED
Here is a new sighting of the F32 4 series / 3-series coupe. Compared to the F30 3 series sedan, the 4 series coupe will have a more muscular and sleek appearance. The shoulder line at the rear quarter panel is more pronounced and the roofline lower.
Keep in mind that the car looks larger than it actually is due to some of the camouflage paneling, particularly on the front fascia. The heavy camouflage on the front and rear also obscure the headlight and … CONTINUED
We bring you the very first photos of the F21 135i. We’ve previously spied a 135i 5-door hatchback (F20), but never the 135i 3-door hatchback (F21) as seen here. In fact, F21 sightings in general have been rare.
The F21 is set to be revealed as early as Spring 2012. Expect to see more powerful engines (compared to the F20 1 series 5-door) introduced with the F21. To name a few, we expect a 125i 2.0l turbo inline 4 producing in the ballpark of 220hp and a … CONTINUED
Happy New Year to the entire BIMMERPOST community! As we cross over to a new year it’s a fitting time for a recap of the past year. It was an amazing year for BMW, with the company hitting sales records and many new important models making their debuts. 2012 should prove to be as successful, if not more. And we’ll be seeing some new models and facelifts coming. We recap the BMW 2011 year for you inside.
The first F32 4 Series / 3 Series coupe prototypes were spotted for the first time ever in October. And although it appeared in heavy camouflage, we’ve attempted to envision what the production form may look like underneath.
In producing the following images, we started from real life F32 spy photos (attached below) and combined it with some elements from the F30′s styling, along with some educated guesses and imagination sprinkled throughout. We’ll be able to better assess the accuracy of the image’s detailed styling elements as … CONTINUED
The 2013 F80 M3 sedan continues public testing, and we’ve just spotted it in Munich. Wearing the same level of camouflage as seen in our previously posted photos and videos, the F80 M3 continues to show off its brawny shape and proportions.
Expected in 2013, the F80 M3 has been conducting road testing since the summer of 2011. Based on the same platform/chassis as the 2012 3 Series sedan (F30), the F80 M3 will powered by a turbocharged 6 cylinder engine (inline or V … CONTINUED
From the same Dutch BMW dealer presentation which yielded the 381hp tri-turbo diesel M550d rumor, comes the report that a “M135i” F20 1 series hatchback is coming next summer. Those in attendance were reportedly told about a M135i featuring 320hp and powered by the N55 inline 6 engine.
As with any rumor, it’s always just speculation until officially published by BMW. But, there may be merit to this rumor. We spotted what appears to be an M Sport 135i F20 some months ago (seen HERE), so we … CONTINUED
The rumor coming out of a BMW dealer presentation held in the Netherlands last week is that the previously rumored M550d will officially come in with 381 HP from its tri-turbo inline-6 cylinder diesel motor, far lower than the initial speculations of 500+ HP. But it will make over 516 lb-ft torque! Finally, it will be AWD-only, as speculated earlier.
This new tri-turbo diesel F10 5 series was previously confirmed to be coming, but a power figure was not yet known. That set off a round … CONTINUED
Posted to our facebook page by artist Jacek Kolodziejczyk are these beautiful renders of a BMW F82 M3/M4 coupe. Although the F82 M3/M4 coupe won’t receive the same front fascia as the F80 M3 sedan (as depicted in these renders), this is nonetheless a fun and imaginative look at what the next M3 coupe could somewhat resemble, at least in size and proportioning.
Some weeeks ago we brought bring you the very first video of the 2013 BMW M3 sedan internally dubbed F80. We’ve now posted the first footage of F80 M3 prototypes on and around the Nurburgring and conducting high speed performance runs!
As you’d expect from an M3, the F80 prototype looks very planted and stable while being pushed around the Nurburgring. The video provides the best listen yet at the F80′s engine/exhaust noise. And although we can tell with certainty that it’s powered by a 6 cylinder … CONTINUED
