The sixth generation of the BMW 3 Series Sedan, the world’s best-selling premium car, sets new benchmarks in terms of sporting prowess, elegance and comfort. The pioneering history of the 3 Series serves as inspiration for the new sports sedan, whose powerful styling represents a fresh interpretation and conscientious development of traditional BMW design cues. The F30 3 series will be fully revealed to the world this Friday, but its dashboard has now been revealed in these spy photos. Although these are not great quality photos, what’s seen here does appear to match up to the F30 interior spy photos we’ve previously posted.
As expected, the F30′s dashboard is a bit of a mix between the F10 5 series and F21 1 series, with the large fixed screen that we’ve seen in previous spy photos.
The dashboard trim appears to be quite a … CONTINUED
Just 2 weeks to the day before its debut, the F30 has shed more of its camouflage, revealing the lower front bumper and sideskirts.
If the F20 1 series is any indication, it’s possible we could be looking at the F30 Sport Line model. As pictured below, the F20 Sport Line also features a very similar design on its bumper inlets, with horizontal bars running from the fog lights.
Like the F20, the 2012 F30 3 series is expected to be available in different ‘lines’ – possibly a … CONTINUED
We bring you a preview of the BMW F30 3 series’ production front end styling via our set of renders. These were constructed by analyzing the 100% uncovered F30 spy pics recently posted, together with input from Scott26, who has seen the production F30 design. It was confirmed that these images are representative of the real life F30 front end design.
The F30′s front styling will represent very unique elements never before seen on a production BMW. The headlight-grille area features deep set headlights which dip inward … CONTINUED
We bring you more spy photos of the 2012 3 series sedan (F30), in black and space gray, as BMW finishes the final evaluation phase testing on the next generation 3 series sedan.
Although the camouflage tape remains on these FEP level prototypes, we’ve already recently had a great uncovered look at the production F30 front and rear [see these photos if you've been under a rock] in a recent spotting at an F30 official photo shoot. But, these photos continue to give us views at the … CONTINUED
Taking a page out of their multi-lines strategy for the F20 1-series hatchback (which has the Sport and Urban Lines), the F30 and F32 3 series will also be available in multiple “lines” options.
The 3 lines expected for the next gen 3 series sedan (and perhaps “4 series coupe” if the name change comes to fruition) will be a Sport Line, Modern Line, and Luxury Line (actual final names may differ, we’ve also heard Sport Line, Urban Line and Deluxe Line as the possible names).
These optional … CONTINUED
The F30 fun continues. Yesterday we brought you the first shots of the new 3-series sedan as it was caught in Spain during a photoshoot.
Today, we’re excited to share even better shots of this Sparkling Bronze F30 3-series. These hi-res versions show the front fascia in even more details, in particular the F30′s unique headlight shape. The inside corner of the headlights appear to take on a very distinctive shape by angling in very sharply – a completely new design feature for BMW. … CONTINUED
What a weekend! First spyshots of the new M3, then had the first leak of the Performance Concept 1-series and now this:
An eagle eyed tipster managed to take the first (albeit blurry) shots of the new BMW 3-series sedan (F30). From what can be seen in those photos it will be a very handsome and evolutionary design. The front appears sporty yet elegant and — to the relief of many — the headlights are sleeker and smaller compared to the F20 1-series. The rear clearly shows … CONTINUED
As the E90 3-series’ production comes to an end this October, attention has already been shifting to the next generation F30 3-series sedan. Here, BMW continues testing of the next generation 3-series (F30) sedan. It seems that the amount of camouflage has remained at this level for a while now, but new colors continue to appear on the FEP prototypes.
The F30 3 series spied here looks to be in Deep Sea Blue Metallic or the new Midnight Blue color introduced on the F20 1-series hatchback. This … CONTINUED
The recently-spied-for-first-time F3x 3-series Li Long wheelbase model continues its testing. This extended length next gen 3-series will be manufactured in China for sale only in China (like all new F30s for the Chinese market) and provides for more spacious backseat area with more legroom. The BMW 3-series Li will debut at the Beijing Autoshow in April 2012.
The platform will form the basis of the BMW 3-series Gran Turismo which debuts in 2013.
The F30 3-series is shaping up to the be safest 3-series yet. From the latest set of F30 spy photos, we have now spotted side view cameras, which will likely be part of a camera package which also includes top and rear view parking cameras. From previous interior spy photos we’ve also spotted the lane change warning system. All will combine to provide safety features which have never before been seen in the 3-series!
